So I was reading the transcript of Joe Biden’s interview with George Stephanopoulos today and I stumbled on this brief exchange regarding whether or not The Taliban have truly changed their ways:
STEPHANOPOULOS: They care about their beliefs more?
BIDEN: Well, they do. But they also care about whether they have food to eat, whether they have an income that they can provide for their f– that they can make any money and run an economy. They care about whether or not they can hold together the society that they in fact say they care so much about.
I’m not counting on any of that. I’m not cou– but that is part of what I think is going on right now in terms of I– I’m not sure I would’ve predicted, George, nor would you or anyone else, that when we decided to leave, that they’d provide safe passage for Americans to get out.
See, here’s the thing about older people who are losing control of their faculties. Often, one of the first things they lose is their ability for long-term strategic thinking. So you can ask them multiple questions and they will have trouble tracking how, or even if, their various answers fit together in a coherent way… or worse, whether or not they reveal something they would rather you didn’t know.
Now, read the last sentence of that quote again.
“I’m not sure I would’ve predicted … that they’d provide safe passage for Americans to get out.“
By concentrating all his remaining brain power on trying to answer the question directly in front of him, will the Taliban be more moderate?, he isn’t able to comprehend the fact that he has just accidentally admitted something absolutely horrifying… that he did not expect them to give our people safe passage.
What this suggests is that Joe Biden ordered the withdrawal of all our troops, without first evacuating our own people, even though he believed that the Taliban WOULD NEVER GIVE THOSE HE LEFT BEHIND SAFE PASSAGE.
This guy is a stone cold psychopath.
For anyone watching carefully, this was the case in his Delaware basement. But orange man had to go, didn’t he. Can anyone imagine Trump allowing the Pentagon to risk abandoning thousands of AMCITS in Kabul? Though he was at times inordinately enamored with brass hats, (many US business executives are), I am pretty sure this would not have happened on his watch and, if it did, firing would be massive.
