Joe Biden tells us that 120,000 people were evacuated from Afghanistan over the last two weeks. Of that number, 5,400 were American citizens and 8,500 were SIV holders. That leaves something like 100,000 unidentified evacuees.
What do we know about these 100,000 people? Virtually nothing. But one thing that they all have in common is that all of them were able to talk their way past multiple Taliban checkpoints.
How were they able to do that? Surely most of them were simply clever, or charming, or lucky, or convincing and pose no threat to Americans. I’m perfectly willing to concede the fact that the vast majority of these 100,000 evacuees want nothing more than a quiet life of Liberty and will quickly assimilate into the American heartland, one day to become productive patriotic Americans.
But there is a non-zero chance that some of those evacuees were granted passage through multiple Taliban checkpoints because they are known sleeper agents whom the Taliban are anxious to install in various locations around the United States, to be activated at a time and place of the Taliban’s choosing.
I don’t think it’s out-of-bounds to wonder if that might be the case. Maybe it’s not the case, but if I were a Biden Administration official, the possibility that we might have flown 2, or 5, or 10, or 100 Jihadi sleeper agents into the continental United States would keep me up nights.
But then, I have a conscience… something I’m not sure can be said of the majority of officials in an administration run by 90% Joe.
