Yesterday I wrote a piece arguing that Joe Biden has become a danger to himself and the Nation. You can read that piece here, and I encourage you to do so.
Biden’s entire Adminstration, and every policy that has been a part of it, is in a state of utter collapse, and he’s lashing out in anger. Biden has decided that in order to salvage something out of these disasters and to rally his base, he will go to war with the half of the citizenry whose personal choices, he has decided, are embarrassing him and emperiling his legacy.
Just a few hours after I published this piece, Biden changed out of his jammies and shuffled across the street to harangue the recalcitrant members of his Party in order to rally them to pass his signature piece of domestic legislation… the $3.5 Trillion Mega-Porkulus Human Infrastructuree Build Back Better Slush Fund Act of 2021. By all accounts it did not go well… but I want to highlight what the AP reported Biden saying during the course of his “rally the troops” speech.
According to the AP… “In his private talks with Legislators, Biden suggested a Democrat defeat on the current bills would be a gift to Republicans, empowering a party that he has judged a threat to Democracy itself. Defeat, he warned, would embolden the same forces who tacitly blessed the January 6 insurrection.”
Read that again… Biden has judged the entire Republican Party “a threat to Democracy itself”… That is absolutely chilling. Could designating one of only two major American political parties, one that has been around for 200 years, a Domestic Terrorist Organization be next on Biden’s “to do list”? I mean, should GOP Legislators expect to be droned on their way to their offices at this point?
This is truly disturbing language to hear from the President of the United States. I’m more concerned than ever… and that’s really saying something.
