What the $3.5T Mega Ultra Super Porkulus is really all about…

Does it strike anyone else as odd that the Democrats are SO wedded to this $3.5T price tag? It certainly strikes me that way. What I think is going on is this…

The Democrats know they are going to get creamed in the mid-terms… I mean like a Mike Tyson scrub opponent in Tyson’s prime kind of creamed. So they are deploying a bunch of “break glass in case of emergency” hail marys out there to try and limit the damage.

What I think they are trying to do here is activate a bunch of new and very lucrative wealth transfer programs and hope to get people addicted to them over the next year-plus. The race to gin up fear over the 1/6 riot isn’t working, but if they can create new sources of government cheese, and then dare Republicans to pledge to cut or eliminate them in the run up to the Kidterms and then again in the Presidential Contest in 2024, the belief is that maybe they can snatch a race or two back from the GOP on the backs of welfare-dependent voters and activist types scared that their payments and agency budgets will be cut or ended.

WHAT’S GOING ON WITH SOUTHWEST?

I don’t know and I don’t care. But there is something about the cancellation scandal that I find interesting.

Let’s assume, for argument’s sake, that employees really are engaging in a sick-out over Vaccine Mandates. If true, why would Southwest be so desperate to deny that? I don’t really know… but I do know that they appear to be VERY desperate to do just that. So desperate that they decided to blame the outages on weather, even though the weather reports for the area were clear and no other airline reported any issues with weather.

What this did, for those who were paying attention, was suggest to airline consumers that while other Airlines’ planes might be able to fly in inclement weather, Southwest planes cannot.

Is that really the message Southwest wants to broadcast, because that’s what people are hearing. Is it possible that Southwest is so desperate to appear woke that they are fine letting consumers come away with the impression that their planes aren’t safe?

That is one weird flex.
